Transfer FCC Residual Balance

I transferred our two FCC certificates to our daughter as our Japan trip for 2022 got cancelled and we Lifted & Shifted it to 2023.  I was told that they had to be used this year. What I didn't think of was that there would be a residual Balance left on both and apparently we will be issued new certificates for the balance

Question is, will the new certificates be in our daughters name, for her to use or ours. Unfortunately, they won't be taking a second trip this year. Therefore will the money be lost?

Can you buy onboard services with the balance, such as drinks package?

You need to check the small print on the FCC.

We were recently issued FCCs because of an incident on board ship (total surprise to us to receive them). The small print stated that if the FCC was used to book a cruise for a lesser value than the FCC, we would lose the remaining amount of credit.
