Car in Santorini

Do we need to reserve a rental car ahead of time (will be there 1 day in late Sept.) or will it be easy to just find one once there?

It's a lot easier to just book it when you get there. We pre-booked and were told to 'call' when we arrived- but you needed to purchase a special local phone card to make calls! Prices were no different prebooking than what you could find without a reservation. There are all kinds of car rental companies right on the main drag (when you emerge from the tram or your personal mule) which ever route you take up to Fira.

Agree that it would be just as easy to get once you're there. We booked our car ahead, but the person who was to meet us was at the wrong port and it took longer to get together with her than if we had just taken one there.
