cruisegal415 Posted March 24, 2022 #1 Share Posted March 24, 2022 (edited) I love to look for and collect sea shells on the beaches. When I tried to take some large conch shells back to the boat from the private island once on RCL, I was told it was not allowed to remove them from the beach. Has anyone tried to take smaller shells that are found on the beaches? Is it allowed? I know it is not legal to take live shells, but I'm talking about the little, smaller shells that are usually found on beaches. SnorkelAway Posted March 24, 2022 #2 Share Posted March 24, 2022 I am not sure of exact current policy, but Royal Caribbean for many years has had a policy of prohibiting the taking of sea shells or flora and fauna from the private islands. The main rationale is that with thousands of guests coming constantly, if people were permitted openly to take things, then the island soon would have nothing left.
