NCL Port of Miami new terminal and garage

I have a question about the new parking garage at the NCL terminal.  I see there is an elevated enclosed walkway from the garage (second or third level) to the terminal.  Has anyone used this and, if so, once in the terminal do you need to go downstairs to go through the vaccination/security check?  It is my understanding that the vaccination/security check is before you enter the building at ground level and once past that you take the escalators up the check-in.  Or perhaps there is one of these checkpoints at this walkway.  Any experience on this?  Thanks
