san diego holiday inn express bayside

Has anyone stayed at the San Diego Holiday Inn Express Bayside. We  are considering staying for 1 night and leaving our car there while on the cruise. Is the parking lot safe and secure?

The parking lot at the Holiday Inn Express Bayside is what I'd consider "safe" but it isn't "secure" as in fenced or enclosed. That said, I'd have zero issue parking there for a cruise. I'd park on the Nimitz Blvd side of the hotel. You are right next to Naval Base Point Loma on one side and Navy housing on the other.

I'd rather be at the Holiday Inn San Diego - Bayside. It is a better neighborhood than the "Old Town" location, which isn't really in Old Town. Underground doesn't mean it is any more secure than above ground. I had my car once broken into in a secured underground lot.

 

But if it is the only place you can get, it is okay.
