Trolley at Port of Miami

The trolley goes to safe neighborhoods because tourists use it to get around.  The Coral Way trolley originates at Bayside Marketplace, which is just on the other side of the Arena (next to the cruise port).  The trolley doesn't go to the new cruise terminals, only to the Royal Caribbean building area and the west end of Dodge Island.  There's no place to put luggage and the seats are very uncomfortable but it's free.

Sounds like the trolley takes tourists to different tourist areas around the port of Miami.  Is that correct?  I plan on spending two nights near the cruise port in Jan 2023.  Do you names of any hotels that are near cruise port or near the trolley stops?  Thanks for your feedback.  Cheers

The trolleys run from Bayside Marketplace to suburbs such as Coconut Grove and Coral Gables. Personally, if I were to stay at a hotel near the port, it would be the Intercontinental or Epic.  There's always the Holiday Inn across Biscayne Blvd from the port but it's slated to be torn down.  There are also plenty of hotels in the Brickell area, just over the Miami River from downtown.  The MetroMover goes from Bayside to Brickell (it's an elevated monorail system around downtown).

Diver2014;  thank you for the feedback.  I booked Courtyard Marriott Brickell;  it's half mile from Bayside Marketplace and a block from the MetroMover stop.  All is good.  Cheers

To update this thread, I took the Coral Way Trolley from 31st Ave all the way to the Port of Miami. It takes about an hour for this distance, since it diverts to stop at 2 Metromover stations to allow pickups or drop offs. There’s a wide range of ages of vehicles, from quite new to ones that are on the older side. They’re clean and give a good perspective on Miami life.

Thank you for your input.  I plan on using the Metro Mover when we visit Miami in January 2023
