Excursion suggestions

This is our first Alaskan cruise and we want to see and do as much as we are able.   We both have difficulty walking too much so we're probably limited to tours, etc.   Are there tours available offered by outside companies, more than what H. A. offers?   Any suggestions would be great.   We thought about renting a car, but I know we'd learn more about the history and culture with a tour company.   Thank you for your help!

In most, if not all of the ports, there will be a booth on the dock selling a large selection of tours and activities. But some things come with limited capacities, so pre-booking with private vendors is also a good idea. Each port is covered on this board in detail, including activities of interest and vendors for tours.
