Tour guide tips

We have a private keep tour scheduled in Cozumel. What do you usually tip them for good service?

We generally tip $10-20pp (approx 20%) depending on how long the tour is. We also offer to have the guide eat lunch with us and buy theirs.  I know that many times they eat free for bringing us, but most guides will sit with us and share time.

15-20% of the tour fare is typical for us.

When we have hired a driver for the day we used Tour Plaza.  There is an entire thread with recommended drivers.  We have used Gerry for most our tours.  His English is excellent and he is a very fun to spend the day with.  Highly recommend.
