Walking from cruise doc to Atlantis Submarine location

We are scheduled on an excursion on our own with Atlantis submarine.  The walk from where Wonder of the Seas docks looks too small of a walk to get a taxi.  Has anyone done it?  Is it as close as it looks?  Are there good walking areas/sidewalks?  Thanks.

Whether it is a long way or not depends entirely on your mobility.

certainly not worth paying for a taxi. We have walked to Del Mar Latino next door lots of times.

Since you have obvious looked at a map already google maps will tell you how far it is if you put in directions from International Pier and then you can decide. I would say the distance to the exit from the ship is half way. There is a sidewalk all the way and just say No gracias to all the people wanting to rent you a scooter!

We enjoy Del Mar as a convenient, budget-friendly option ( no transport need from International) but I can understand it is not for everyone.

It is a very small, adult-only beach club with loungers on a man-made sandy area (no natural beach). Rocky entrance for snorkeling. Service, food and drinks are very good. Recently there has been a promotion of $29pp if you pre-book, normally $39. We have been several times since it opened in 2019 when it was very quiet. It has definitely become busier more recently.

Here is an ongoing thread with more details with photos

easy walk to Atlantis and agree with other posters about Del Mar; usually there are no more than 10-20 people when we have been there but reports indicate it can become more crowded. We get a lounger, read and use the pool when we are there. Drinks are pretty good and most of the food is very good IMO. Coconut shrimp, shrimp cocktail, ceviche, guac and club sandwiches are some of the things we have had that we thought were good. We usually spend about 3-4 hours there and leisurely walk back to the ship. Not for everyone but we like it and like the price
