Cooking with Josefina through Cozumel Chef

Excellent excursion and something different on our cruise to Cozumel in April where we enjoyed the class taught by (Josefina retired) her son Jeronimo. We met him at the downtown open air market where he walked us through all the booths, telling of the different spices, fruits and vegetables and proteins used in Mexican cooking. Then we took a short cab ride to his home, so graciously opened to us, where he walked us thru the history, traditions and preparation of several Mexican dishes. This was a hands on and personal class with a small group of usually less than 8 people. Since we got to help prep and cook, we'll have a better understanding of how to make authentic Mexican meals in our own home. We'll definitely be back.

Glad to hear the class is continuing. Sounds like it is held in a new location now if you needed a cab ride.

We did the food tour from this company last fall and loved it. We will be doing this on our next trip!
