Alaska Land/Cruise questions

We have recently booked an Alaska Cruise with a "Double Denali" land tour. We are experienced HAL cruisers but have not experienced a cruise with a land tour added. There is very little information about this on the official HAL website  or even in the various CC forums.  The role call for this cruise is not active at all.

For those who have experience with this. information would be very appreciated. Here are some basic questions:

1) Luggage. The instruuctions say that only a small bag that could fit under your seat on the train is allowed. There is no mention about the rest of ones luggage. Can we assume that it is loaded onto a baggage compartment and follows us?

2) Food and Beverage. It is said that the trains have food and beverage services. Are we allowed to bring our own snacks and beverages aboard? Can one bring a bottle of wine aboard to enjoy on the train?

3) I understand that "food packages" for the tours are available. They seem to be rather expensive and also provide large, multi-course meals. After spending time on the ship and battling the constant temptation to over-eat, the last thing I want are more huge meals. What options are there for smaller meals?

Any other tips or insights would be welcome.

1} The bag to take with you should contain meds or other essentials before your luggage arrives at your room (yes it ships separately).

2.) Not sure about this.  The food on the train is very good. Great bloody Mary's also.

3.) The food package is expensive.  You purchase box lunches for the Denali tour.  The park service is VERY Strick on food in the park, No crumbs outside of the bus.

I've attached the tour tips provided by HAL.
