Liquid Nutrition or protein for cruising

Hi everyone - i'm helping a friend who is on a liquid only diet to find a protein shake or liquid nutrition that he can take on a river cruise in Europe this fall. we are not able to ship his current items due to EU restrictions. has anyone done this before or have a European substitute we can order and have shipped to Viking ahead of their departure date? He uses Kate Farms here in the US and they are unable to ship to the EU. Thank you for your help!

What country is your friend sailing from?

 

Have you contacted Viking to see whether they can provide liquid nutrition?    

 

Also, if your friend is staying in a hotel beforehand, check with them to see if there are any pharmacies or farmacias nearby that would carry liquid nutrition.   It is a fairly common product.

 

Another idea is powered liquid nutrition.   I know that Ensure and Ensure+ comes in powder.  

 

Any new nutrition product should be approved by a physician or nutritionist.   And tried for a while beforehand to make sure your friend tolerates it.

Thank you @kokopelli-az - he's traveling from the US and because this is a medical issue already under the guidance of nutritionist and a physician, Viking would not be able to provide the complete meal replacements he would need. I appreciate your suggestions! we're hoping to find these equivalents to "Kate Farms" products soon to ship in advance to his hotel.
