Transportation to Mountain Top

We will be in St. Thomas in November.  We have been there before, so all we want to do this time is go to Mountain Top and have a couple of Banana Daquaris.  I've been seeing Open air buses, I believe they are called Safari Taxis?   But I haven't been able to find much on them.  How far from the pier, can you find those types of taxis and do they just go up and down, from up there or do they tour the island?  Do you have to wait until they fill up before going up?  How much do they cost per person?

Thanks in advance!

You should dock at Crown Bay, there will be shared safari taxis waiting to whisk you all to the various beaches and other destinations. Just ask the taxi coordinator or drivers for a taxi going to MT. Guessing the fare is ~$6 - $8/pp each way?

There are also popular group or shared tours you can take that give you a “cookie cutter” tour of the highlights. Most include MT, the scenic views from Skyline Drive and Drake’s Seat, and then either an hour or 2 at a beach or a drop p-off in town…
