umpisoccer Posted June 1, 2022 #1 Share Posted June 1, 2022 I was wondering how windy the balcony on a Forward facing Deluxe Penthouse will be when at sea? I was worried that it might be too windy to enjoy at sea.
Rare wolft927 Posted June 1, 2022 #2 Share Posted June 1, 2022 are you talking about the Haven?
Rare scooter6139 Posted June 1, 2022 #3 Share Posted June 1, 2022 What ship are you going on? That will help figure out what balcony you have. I think the Forward facing Haven Suites only have small side balconies on the Breakaway and Plus class, unsure of the others.
umpisoccer Posted June 1, 2022 Author #4 Share Posted June 1, 2022 I am on the Pearl and it is not a Haven suite - just a Forward Facing Deluxe Penthouse Suite.
Rare wolft927 Posted June 1, 2022 #5 Share Posted June 1, 2022 Oh ok., I only been on the forward facing Haven on the Breakaway.
kmc86 Posted June 1, 2022 #6 Share Posted June 1, 2022 We were on the Jewel in forward facing owners suite. It had a front balcony and a side balcony. It was an Alaskan cruise. The front balcony could be windy if standing at the rail but if you were in a lounge chair the wind wasn’t bad. The forward balcony was great for viewing the beautiful sites and glaciers in Alaska.
CWMixer Posted June 1, 2022 #7 Share Posted June 1, 2022 We were on a forward owners suite on the Dawn (#9006). Wind on the front balcony while underway depended on ship direction and wind direction: if we were headed south and the wind was from the north, basically no apparent breeze on the forward balcony. If headed south and wind was from the south we didn't even bother trying to open the front balcony door, but the side balcony was fine.
