schmoopie17 Posted June 22, 2022 #1 Share Posted June 22, 2022 (edited) Our next cruise stops in Malaga and Cadiz and we're torn between which city is best for simply strolling around, seeing city sites and stopping in restaurants and bars. (We don't really care about historical sites, museums, etc., so if that influences your decision, it's not a factor.) After tons of research we still haven't made up our minds. We would like to do an excursion from whatever city we don't choose: Cadiz would be Arcos de la Frontera and Jerez. Malaga would be either Ronda or Marbella (they both go to Mijas) Learning towards, Malaga for roaming around, (even though the huge market is closed on Sundays when we're there) and then the Cadiz excursion...but it's a coin flip. Would like input from Spain afficionados. Thanks... Edited June 22, 2022 by schmoopie17
carlmm Posted June 22, 2022 #2 Share Posted June 22, 2022 If you look for the city itself diring das time I would recommend Cadiz for its typical restaurants. If you stay overnight Marbella has some excellent, and expensive, restaurants.
JimmyTheSaint Posted June 23, 2022 #3 Share Posted June 23, 2022 I suggest you look at going to Seville from your port stop in Cadiz. Fabulous city, it has everything you're looking for. That leaves you free to roam around Malaga, plenty to see and do there. The HoHo bus has a stop close to the cruise terminal.
