Will do! Sail away was great! It’s windy if you stand at the front of your balcony but where the table and hot tub is was ok. I’ll keep you posted.

Thank you, thank you! I'm so glad your sail away was wonderful. How could it not be with that balcony!

That looks like 8201! I sailed there twice and 8001 twice. I love those suites.

@cruiseny4life I didn’t think the wind was too bad. The balcony is steel which blocks a lot of the wind when you’re sitting. If I’m standing at the railing, I loved the wind blowing in my face. What is difficult about the forward-facing suites is that your drapes have to be closed prior to sunset so the light from your room doesn’t interfere with the bridge which is two decks above you. I received a call from the bridge to turn my lights off if I was going to be back and forth from the balcony to the room. No big deal - I just turned the lights off in the living room and kept a light on in the bedroom so I could see when I went back in.

Interesting - I never would have considered a need to close the drapes, but I suppose they do need that absolute darkness. Wouldn't be a problem for us as the night lights in the Haven rooms are usually pretty fantastic (those blue lights at the base of the tub and bed).

Appreciate your thoughts on the wind - I suppose I'll need to add this as a possibility. That private hot tub got me!

Make sure you grab one on deck 8 - the hot tubs are huge! Deck 9 deck and hot tubs are smaller!

So the WiFi had been down. We had a fun day on the Blue hole snorkeling excursion through Viator. Be warned - it is a local excursion and is in no way fancy. We had to take a bus for 50 minutes to the other side of the island where we boarded a small speed boat. No shade or comfortable seats. If you have any back issues do not book this. The snorkeling was great! The tour guides were great too. 233E2383-5BE8-4B01-B22E-46124ABE24E9.thumb.jpeg.98037ee72dbfa9daa0aec297acefca32.jpeg

Prior to dinner we attended the officer cocktail party. I must say it’s the best I have attended. Food and drinks were top shelf and the officers spent time talking to us individually and getting to know us. The beverage manager, for example, wound up recommending the bottle of wine we had at dinner. It was very good btw! The staff have all been very attentive and seem happy.

The mystery regarding the noise was solved. Our butler told us it’s coming from the family above us. Apparently they have rented the suites above us and kids (don’t know age) are right above us. I do not mind noise during the day but not late night early morning when I’m trying to sleep. He said their butler is going to talk to them. In the meantime we are going to try to cover the noise by playing our brown noise app.

The noisy people are in the cabins above. I’ve circled the cabins. If this is you please remember to be courteous to your neighbors. Party to your hearts content during the day. At 11:00 p.m. please tone it down. Thank you.

There is literally NO internet on the ship or the island so be prepared!! NCL needs to get onboard with getting decent WiFi. At least RCI has great internet on Coco Cay. For what we pay for the best package it’s a total rip off! I’ve had issues this entire cruise.

I was on an NCL cruise in April and spent half the cruise at the IT desk.

Last night we ate at the Palace main dining room. The food overall was a 7:10. I had the bruschetta followed by the pork loin. DD1 had the Caesar salad followed by a basil pasta. The Caesar was terrible, definitely not like the one from Cagneys. DD2 had the barbecue which she liked.
