San Gervasio Mayan Ruins, Island Tour and Beach excursion

I am looking at this excursion on Royal Caribbean.  Anyone have any experience with this excursion?

I have done a similar tour but privately, at my own pace. 
 

If you use the search engine for this forum you will find previous reviews of the ship excursion but keep in mind unless you find a recent review the “beach” location has changed over the years.

 

How many in your group? There comes a point at which private is more economical.
