Buying a day or two of wi fi onboard if needed.

On Hawaii 15 day  return cruise out of SF.  No plans to stay connected onboard. Will use ports mid way to see what’s up at home online. Of course if emergency they can phone us onboard. Question?  If action by us is needed can we buy a day or two of wi fi to take care of situation. Do not want to have to use phone connections at many dollars per minute to get/ give info to those at home. Cannot locate answer to this dilemma. Do you know, and what is cost. Will have phone and tablet with us. Thank you.

Yes, minimum if not buying for voyage is 1 day, cost on board is $20. If you are platinum or above you get 50% discount so only $10.

Thank you so much. I looked everywhere!  We are platinum, so even get that benefit. Hope we don’t need to use it!

Our philosophy has always been, "If it's an emergency, price doesn't matter."  If we have to fly home in the middle of the cruise, we know we are going to pay an arm and a leg for it.  And we are nowhere near platinum or wealthy.  We just know that if it's an emergency, we will pay gladly for it.  

 

Just to add, we will go on a 15 day cruise and will not contact any family while gone, nor will they contact us.  So, if someone contacts us while on vacation, we know that it is an emergency.  No news is good news!

Yep…I agree!  We will use ports to say “ it’s beautiful and we’re having a ball”, otherwise will assume all is well in our extended world.  If needed, we will go.
