Hotel near Carnival Cruise Lines’s Long Beach Cruise Terminal

Any recommendation for hotel near Carnival's port?

 

Current plan is to stay at Hampton Inn Long Beach airport, but that is still a bit far from port.  Want to see if there are any better recommendations.

 

Or would you recommend staying near LAX?  Will be flying into LAX.

The Carnival Cruise Terminal is on a peninsula; there is the Hotel Maya DoubleTree and the Marriott Residence Inn on the peninsula. Hopefully one day the Hotel Queen Mary will reopen.

 

Usually if some doesn't want to stay right by the terminal I recommend the Hyatt Centric or Hyatt Regency in Downtown Long Beach.

 

I would not stay by LGB if I was flying into LAX. LAX is 22 miles from the terminal, LGB is 12 miles. It just doesn't make sense to me to stay by LGB. I'd stay near LAX before I'd stay at LGB.

 

But if I could....I'd fly into LGB.

We're staying at the Hotel Maya prior to our cruise this month. I'll try to remember to post about it afterward.  😁
