ThaNectar Posted August 11, 2022 #1 Share Posted August 11, 2022 If you have already paid in full.. and u notice a price drop. Will they apply a credit or OBC to your acct to reflect the lower price?
ProgRockCruiser Posted August 11, 2022 #2 Share Posted August 11, 2022 I believe the rule is: It depends on which cruise fare type/code/class you booked under. And you have to call them, it won't happen automatically.
ober134 Posted August 11, 2022 #3 Share Posted August 11, 2022 In the past I've gotten OBC. But my PVP has taken care of it for me once I call her.
wemjam Posted August 11, 2022 #4 Share Posted August 11, 2022 It does depend on the rate you booked under, Early Saver fares you most certainly can, but others you can too. You can call, or you can fill out the form (if you know it is an Early Saver booking and don't want to wait on the phone). If you are paid in full they will credit the difference back to you as OBC. I watch my cruises ALL the time and often get an adjusted lower price: Here is the link and Carnival's rules: https://www.carnival.com/core/requestforms/priceprotection.aspx What should I do once I find a lower rate? Complete a price protection claim form. If the request meets the price protection requirements, we will process the fare difference and send you an email confirmation within 2 business days of your request. If the booking is not paid in full – the cruise fare will be re-priced. If the booking is paid in full – the difference of fare will be issued as a non-refundable gross on board credit. What information must be submitted for a price protection request? Guest(s) name Sailing information Available cruise fare being requested Where the lower advertised fare was found (example: Carnival.com) When can I submit a price protection request? Carnival will accept price protection requests up to 2 business days prior to sailing. How many times can I submit a price protection request? Provided that you are eligible for the lower fare, there are no restrictions to the number of price protection requests or the requested amount.
