Rare BirdTravels Posted August 18, 2022 Author #128 Share Posted August 18, 2022 (edited) O.K., you’re on vacation and need some “mommy and daddy time” without the kiddos. Register your kids at the Splash Academy on embarkation day, take them on the first evening to make new cruise friends, and you won’t see them for the rest of the cruise. The academy spans two floors. Edited August 18, 2022 by BirdTravels
Rare BirdTravels Posted August 18, 2022 Author #129 Share Posted August 18, 2022 The teens have their own club, Entourage. Register on embarkation day and force them to go on embarkation day and never see them again.

Rare BirdTravels Posted August 18, 2022 Author #131 Share Posted August 18, 2022 (edited) It may be 90 degrees outside in the Caribbean, but it is always a cool 17 degrees in the Ice Bar. Everything, including the cups, are made of ice. You get a fur lined parka to keep you warm while you visit this once in a lifetime experience. chefrubba Posted August 18, 2022 #135 Share Posted August 18, 2022 @Birdtravels could you ask a crew member what time they are expected to dock inNYC on Sunday? Our checkin time has been pushed back to a 4pm start. Should be an interested mess at the pier.

We are stressing about this as we got a text saying check in between 4pm-10pm...sounds like a free for all and not a fun start to our cruise! Plus no lunch! The crew that The Bird spoke to did not know anything about NYC check-in time. The ship's AIS says that she will arrive in NYC around 11:30 on Sunday morning. The ship is cruising at max speed. Not sure of the refugee issue caused delays in leaving Miami, we arrive a few hours later than expected.

Rare BirdTravels Posted August 19, 2022 Author #142 Share Posted August 19, 2022 One of the fun events hosted by Cruise Next was Wines Around the World. You travel to each country and the wine steward explains the wines that he is offering. Along the way, you score each wine. You can taste the wines or drink the wine for as long as you want. The Birds chatted with the ship’s sommelier who said that supply chain issues continue to have a big impact on the selections of wines onboard.
