S&SBORST Posted March 2, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 2, 2006 Does anyone know if on a short cruise if they still do a formal night? I've only been on 7 night cruises in the past. Just wondering...thanks!
SUZCRUZ Posted March 2, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 2, 2006 Just off the Grandeur and there was a formal night. The Majesty does one as well.

marshacher Posted March 2, 2006 #5 Share Posted March 2, 2006 Dyanna, What time did you leave Nassau? We're there until midnight (on Majesty)so I can't imagine them doing a formal night then, but I could be wrong. Thanks.:)

Thanks.:) Do not worry that you leave Nassau at midnight & it also being the same night as the only formal dinner. A good 95% of the passengers were on board by dinner time as the stores there close at 4:30 -5pm (& this was during the summer) The only real nightlife is the casino at Atlantis & a few bars. Your better off I think on the ship. Enjoy your trip!:p
marshacher Posted March 2, 2006 #8 Share Posted March 2, 2006 Thank you Dyanna. Problem is we have an excursion booked that doesn't get us back to the ship until 7PM. I think I will call RCCL and confirm formal night. Would hate to miss formal night but on the other hand my grandsons (7 and 9) are looking forward to swimming with the dolphins. realtorron Posted March 3, 2006 #9 Share Posted March 3, 2006 We have sailed on Majesty 3 times and will be going again next Jan. The formal night on the 4 night cruise is Tuesday. You are in Nassau late into the evening. I think the ship left around midnight.:)

Have you consider late seating for one night. There were empty tables on our cruise for late seating. You could ask at the desk when you come aboard. I did late seating with 6 & 8 year old girls, it worked for us. We fed them early in the Wind Jammer because they wanted to go to the Kids Club all the time. We did do formal night with them.
