Definitely no free lobster in the MDR. You'd have to eat in the steakhouse or buy the Steakhouse Selections off the MDR menu
tweak89 Posted August 17, 2022 #3 Share Posted August 17, 2022 Not correct. On night 2 (formal/elegant night in the MDR) Lobster Tail is on the free MDR menu. tweak89 Posted August 17, 2022 #5 Share Posted August 17, 2022 Not that it affects me (I don't do seafood) is there a 5 day night 2 menu somewhere? Just curious to see what's been substituted.

Just curious to see what's been substituted. It's been death by a thousand cuts. At first they spun it as replacing the lobster with crab ravioli, then they kept downgrading to smaller portions of and cheaper seafood. The seafood entree on short (5 days or less) cruise formal nights is now about 6 (as I recall) grilled shrimp.
mondello Posted August 17, 2022 #7 Share Posted August 17, 2022 No free lobster on cruises 5 nights or less. Pretty sure we had prime rib on elegant night. $24 up charge for Steakhouse selection in MDR and you get better lobster.

DallasGuy75219 Posted August 17, 2022 #13 Share Posted August 17, 2022 For those of you who don't believe what multiple experienced cruisers are telling you or are finding random menus online without bothering to see how long those sailings were, this is an article about cutting out free lobster on short cruises from when it was announced in 2015: https://cruiseradio.net/carnival-cuts-lobster-on-short-cruises/
