nini Posted August 25, 2022 #2 Share Posted August 25, 2022 Can you be more specific? What is the cabin number to which you are referring?
cruiserdru Posted August 25, 2022 #3 Share Posted August 25, 2022 Says the balcony door is blocked when the third? bed is pulled down. Plus, if you compare them to the ones on Dolphin (9) they are 40 sqft smaller. They are the same category, if they are the same price, Deck 9 is better. Asquare Posted August 25, 2022 #4 Share Posted August 25, 2022 The difference is in the size of the balcony not the actual room. The backend of the ship is staggered and every other deck has the bigger balcony. We have sailed the aft end of the Sky Princess with both in both the 244 sq ft size and 284 sq ft size and to be honest never noticed until you mentioned it and I looked at the deck plans. The best part of the aft is the uncrowded elevator! We love using the aft pool & bar as it is an underutilized location and treat the Worldfresh Market as our own personal room service…we take turns being the waiter…LOL. Not to mention it’s a direct elevator ride down to the MDR at the back of the ship & Vista Lounge.
PRINCESS Sweet Pea Posted August 25, 2022 #5 Share Posted August 25, 2022 Yes, the balconies on these, even the smaller 244 sq. foot cabins, have a balcony larger than the standard balcony cabins. This is the main reason for the 'Premier' category. As well as that Wake-View factor. These are very popular. If you do not have a third or fourth person, then you would never have to be worried about any blocking of the balcony door. Happy cruising!
