jules71 Posted August 26, 2022 #1 Share Posted August 26, 2022 Anyone been there lately? Are restaurants open? How easy to get taxi from Crown Bay dock? We don’t get to STT until noon—will HB be really crowded? Any current info much appreciated.
Ms411 Posted August 26, 2022 #2 Share Posted August 26, 2022 Which Honeymoon Beach? Water Island or St John? Neither Honeymoon has restaurantS. Water Island has Dinghy's and St John no longer has a restaurant.

I see older posts about things being closed.
Ms411 Posted August 28, 2022 #4 Share Posted August 28, 2022 It is so confusing because there are 2, and few posts specify which island.🤯 The food/drink/watersports concession at Honeymoon Beach ST JOHN has closed. Honeymoon Beach on Water Island has one food/drink concession now, Dinghy's. Heidi's moved off the beach to another location. Dinghy's is on Facebook so you can see what amenities they currently offer.
Ms411 Posted August 28, 2022 #5 Share Posted August 28, 2022 I should clarify. I don't consider Dinghy's a restaurant. It was an open air beach concession last I saw. A well equipped food truck.
blue_water Posted August 29, 2022 #6 Share Posted August 29, 2022 (edited) If you are docked at Crown Bay you just walk to the Water Island ferry dock which is located by Tickles Pub. I’ve read the ferry now accepts cash which is convenient. Dinghy’s is a food truck-type spot. HB gets very crowded with cruisers and excursions stopping in for lunch so not a great choice for a quiet, relaxing day, but easy to get to. The ferry is small so some folks have to wait for it to return to get a ride back… Edited August 29, 2022 by blue_water
blue_water Posted August 29, 2022 #7 Share Posted August 29, 2022 I remembered this thread on HB, Ralph’s post may help you. HB is typically quite busy, but it probably depends on the day too… Lindbergh Bay (aka Emerald Beach) is another option a short taxi from Crown Bay. The Emerald Resort has a restaurant, beach bar, and lounge and umbrella rentals.
