travelphreak Posted September 5, 2022 #1 Share Posted September 5, 2022 Hi All, Thanks to COVID we haven't taken a cruise since Jan. 2020. At that time there was construction going on at the Carnival port that affected the parking garage. They had off-site parking that was somewhat less than successful! We are leaving Sept. 16th for a short Mexico cruise. What is the parking situation now? Is everything back to normal?
klmb318 Posted September 5, 2022 #2 Share Posted September 5, 2022 Yes, everything is normal as far as the garage goes, $23/night. In May, there was a lot of construction in other areas of the port though.

Rare Buffettfan 225 Posted October 2, 2022 #4 Share Posted October 2, 2022 We are sailing next week, and sailed many times from Long Beach. We used the WAZE APP to get to Carnival Terminal - (Qyeen Mary is alternate search) and of the routes it has recommended the going through downtown was easiest and simple. The far right lane can drop of luggage and people if need be. If not proceed left and go into garage. At 10:20 cruisers were exiting garage and it is a “two way” ramp. So a slow process nqvigating. I highly recommend looking for a break to turn i to ingoing traffic and back in. You will thank me when coming out of lot on way out. Also when you do exit to pay at end of cruise the right lane only has you pay, exit, no way to return back to drop off area, the left lane you can pay, exit and go left to pick up luggage or people curbside.
