San Francisco Embarkation

I didn't find where to set my arrival time in the Medallion app until recently, and the earliest embarkation time I could get was 12:30pm.  If we show up earlier, may we possibly board earlier?  Or will they make us wait until our "selected" arrival time?

They’ve not been strict on the arrival times on any of our cruises at all.

Just go when you need to go and you’ll be fine. Enjoy!

No, as per usual everyone just shows up whenever they darn well please! lol

We always do. We want to start our cruise as soon as possible. And instead of paying for lunch on shore while waiting to board, we board early so we can enjoy a lunch we already paid for, usually in whatever MDR is open. Plus, it gives us more time to roam the ship to get familiar where everything is. We don't cruise that much and want to enjoy every minute of the ones we do take.

So, what time is a good time to get to SF. Don't want to go too early and be with the crowds coming off of the ship.

You won’t be mixed with them. They het off early and go through customs. Different area than you will be in.

We usually go about 1100 am. That would be the first boarding group time.

The Suites/Elites board first, then Platinums followed by everyone else.

PacnGoNow's suggestion is what we do. The passengers ending their cruise are off the ship by 10:00 AM at the latest. Most of them will have already departed the terminal before early boarding passengers begin to arrive.

Try to arrive around 10:00.  You might have to wait a little but things will start moving pretty quick, once they get the last passengers off.  But you'll also have the allow time for them to escort the Covid quarantines off.  Sailaway seems to be delayed until around 5:30 lately with many later arrivals have to wait for very long periods of time to get checked in.

Thanks. I know "my mileage will vary " but when you get on at 11am, about what time have you seen your luggage arrive in thr cabin. I'm checking my dialysis supplies (way too much to carry on) and am a little nervous about that. Princess medical said just hand them to the porter and make sure they are in the cabin before sail away.  I don't think I'll be able to relax until I see my boxes delivered.

We usually are on by 1130 ish. We’re Elite and ours room is usually ready. But, most of the cabins are ready about 1-130pm and they will announce that OB.

If I had medical supplies that I couldn’t take OB as carryon, I’d probably go to my cabin a little early and alert my cabin steward that I was waiting for them.

IDK, but I think they would expedite them?

Are they marked “medical supplies?”

Did you check with Medical to see if they have any other suggestions?

Thanks. They are marked.  I will talk to the steward.  Medical said just to check them with the Porter. Called Princess, regular customer service, and they said the same thing. I'm sure it will work out, I'm just a worryer.
