aft cabin

First time poster! we have Infinity cabin 8170 on hold for South American cruise in Dec. Is this cabin recommended for a south atlantic cruise when the sea can be rough? This will be our first balcony cabin. Does the balcony cover the entire balcony or is it "open to the skies" towards the rail? Is the balcony "tunnel like" and does this longer balcony mean the room is darker? Any comments much appreciated.:)

Take the Aft cabin...we had #7208-Summit in Jan. and we have #7206-Constellation for the T.A. in April. Even though the actual cabin in the same size and any CC cabin, the feeling of spaciousness due to the fact the balcony is so large is wonderful.

How was the movement back there? I've been on two cruises and the kids area has been in the front and I remember when I would pick her up I felt the UUUUUP and DOOOOOWN very well! I've been on the back decks but usually just the lido where I'm outside, enjoying the fresh air and not paying attention. The rooms we've have both been low and mid ship and I always sleep/move the beds so that I sleep where sideways so that I don't have that rolling feeling, doesn't make me sick, just drives me NUTS!! I sleep like a baby the other way...ok, tmi, I'm a dork!!
