Alex_77 Posted September 16, 2022 #1 Share Posted September 16, 2022 We are due to be in Sydney that day and we’re planning a visit to Louisborg fortress. Is it likely to be open if it is a national holiday?

We were on a cruise earlier in Sept and we were in Sydney on Labor Day. We took a ship excursion earlier in the day, came back expecting restaurants and stores to be opened in Sydney -everything was closed. Even the restaurant in the shopping area next to the pier was closed, we ended up having to go back to the ship to have lunch. We even heard the crew complaining about everything being closed in town. The ship should have skipped Sydney if it was a holiday. It was a waste of a stop. Alex_77 Posted September 26, 2022 Author #5 Share Posted September 26, 2022 To confirm - the fort was open and we spent such a long time there that didn’t have time for more than a coffee so didn’t notice restaurants etc!
