We are sad the cruise is coming to an end as we sail to New York and woke up to beautiful weather again.

We are on the Getaway leaving tomorrow supposed to go to Bermuda.  We are hearing we are headed to St. John Canada.  Have you heard anything about our trip?

We had something strange happen when we were in the Bliss lounge last night listening to Prelude Duo. Another passenger decided to approach us after he left the dance floor and gestured for us to go dance.  Despite us shaking our heads No and motioning for him to leave, he would not stop. Then he decided to sit at our table and got really close to my husband to ask why we weren’t dancing. My husband told him we wanted to listen to the music. (We had danced to a few songs earlier but we don’t know if that man saw us dance or not.)

He then told my husband that he wanted to speak to me alone. My husband said No and asked him to leave. When he refused to leave our table, we got up to leave and that’s when the creepy guy finally left. We did ask the bar tender to call security if the guy came back. The bar tender encouraged us to file a security report. When we walked out of the lounge to use the restroom during the next music set and when we went to leave, we saw creepy guy speaking to two different women who appeared to be sitting alone in the casino. We did go to guest services and did file a report with security. They asked us to contact security if we saw the man again. We were able to describe the clothing the man was wearing and gave the time range when he approached us.

Our big concern was that creepy guy did not respect the word “no” and had no respect for personal space with how close he got to my husband’s face and how he continually wanted to shake his hand.  I hope he is not ruining the cruise for other people. We were feeling like we needed to watch for him so we decided to end our night earlier than planned. The Haven 2 bedroom suite is spacious and very comfortable so it was not horrible but was unfortunate.

By any chance did this guy have a dark beard and mustache?

Thats what I was thinking. However, the St. John Canada port website says the Getaway is going to be there all day Sunday September 25th!!

We're having a lively discussion about our cruise tomorrow to Bermuda(?) on our roll call.  Yes, it appears Newport, Portland, and St.John's are booked/held as an alternate, but we're guessing that NCL is waiting out the storm's potential damage to Bermuda before bailing all-together.  It's just conjecture on our parts.

So, we hope Bermuda is spared, of course, of damage, but does get the beneficial rains it needs.  Hoping, too, that we get there this weekend....and not to NE and Canada (which are otherwise lovely places of course, but not for this cruise).

One of the entertainers just said St John is a destination for the next cruise and not Bermuda due to the hurricane.
On this cruise, we knew that prices were lower due to it being peak hurricane season.  We packed Cold weather clothes knowing a reroute was possible for this time of year.

We just got an email. Confirmed we are heading North to ports mentioned above.

Sadly, the cruise has ended.  We left the Haven at 9:00am and were cleared through customs very quickly by about 9:05am.  Love the speed of facial recognition. It was a bit of a hassle to find a cab as there were so many drivers who were Uber drivers or who knows who they were. The drivers said there were road closures due to a UN meeting.

We got to LGA by 10am with heavy traffic.  Taxi ride was $70. Uber or other drivers quoted a $90 rate. Not being from the area, the ride to and from the airport to the port is always a bit scary but I guess you get used to it if from the area.

We feel bad for those getting on today who were expecting to go to Bermuda and Fiona will impact them wherever they go with the expected swells along the East coast.

The crew was amazing on this cruise and I know my husband had fun tipping many who did so much to make our cruise so enjoyable. As this was our first experience in the Haven, we enjoyed it so much but will likely go back to Club Balcony cabins again due to pricing.  If the price is right for us, we will definitely return.

The 360 turn in Bermuda was to recalibrate the compass according to the Captain when asked at a Q and A yesterday.  We loved the Captain’s daily “the voice from above” consistent updates with a daily quote and letting us know when it was national cheeseburger day.

The was my first “Live from” review as I have appreciated when others did live reviews.
