sherryslr Posted September 19, 2022 #1 Share Posted September 19, 2022 I would like to charter a trip on a private sailboat with a captain when I am in Aruba in March. I've found the big catamarans that do sunset and snorkeling tours, but that isn't what I'm looking for. I'd like a private sailboat that goes out sailing with no more than 6-8 passengers for 2-4 hours. I haven't been able to find anything at this point. Any suggestions? Thank you! vacation44 Posted January 11, 2023 #5 Share Posted January 11, 2023 We reserved a private catamaran from Aruba Watersports for March 2023. Three hours for $1800 including drinks and snacks. I will report back when we get back.

Puffs Posted January 28, 2023 #7 Share Posted January 28, 2023 Twin Dad, I and 3 other friends have also booked this on the same day. We are also sailing on the HOS on 2/18/23. Have you figured out how to get to the boat?
Puffs Posted February 28, 2023 #8 Share Posted February 28, 2023 Just got back from Aruba on the Harmony of the Seas. We booked the sailing tour with Dushi Life Sailing from the above link. This was my first experience with sailing on a sailboat. It was an amazing experience! Alan was great and made it a relaxing and wonderful day. There were only 4 of us on our tour, the other 4 that had booked had to cancel.

One of our twins was the "Alpha, Alpha, Alpha" called the night before. She passed out and witnesses thought she had a seizure. She has had issues with dehydration at home (months of Neuro and Cardiac specialist visits to determine this) and had been fine for months. Excitement of the cruise and warm weather she wasn't drinking enough. $2,000 from ships medical later, they agreed - they at first wanted her to be checked out in Aruba. We explained results would show what we already knew. We felt it best to not take a chance on a sailboat in the heat. Stinks because that's the only excursion we wanted to do! Alan was great in the process and we will definitely return to Aruba to enjoy this excursion.
