"Adult" Elite Beverage Package with Minors on HAL

Does anyone know if two adults (40-50) and a child (14) are booked in the same stateroom do all three have to purchase the "adult" elite beverage package or can we buy two "adult" elite beverage packages and 1 quench beverage package for our son?  We are on HAL this December, 2022. Seems like a waste to pay $600 for a minor so we can enjoy the elite packages. If this is the case are we better off paying per drink? My partner likes IPA Beers and we like wine and champs. We are not hard alcohol drinkers. Thanks in advance for your input.

Nobody under 21 can buy the alcoholic drink packages. So your plan for your son to but the Quench package is solid.
