Entertainment while docked in Bermuda

On a typical Zenith cruse, the ship is docked in Bermuda for three nights: the first two in Hamilton, the last in St. George's. We've heard conflicting stories about whether ships are allowed to have onboard entertainment while docked, or whether we're left with the meagre nightlife on shore in the middle of the week (and nothing on the ship). Can previous Horizon and Zenith Bermuda cruisers enlighten us?

The Casino is not open when you are in port. I do believe there were nightly shows, but to be honest I can't remember as we aren't big show people and I wasn't paying attention. I do think there were the nightly shows, however.

While docked in Bermuda, ships are not permitted to have entertainment on the outside decks after midnight. They usually have something going on while docked (i can't remember if it's every night) from around 10:30 or so right up through midnight. At least that's the way it is on the Celebrity cruises my husband and I have taken. They always have other things going on throughout the ship though in the bars and lounges. Hope this helps....

Don't worry about that. Though they are restricted to a degree there is entertainment of sorts each night. I was told that it could not be the regular theater entertainment but less professional (shall we say) diversion was allowed..like the on deck parties by the pool..though not too late. Most people have great fun listening to the band and dancing. NCL I remember always has a contest where three or four unsuspecting men volunteer to be dressed up ...like women. Then they have a beauty contest. What the team of women do to these guys is too funny.

The islanders hope you will seek entertainment on shore and spend your money which is why the order was imposed.

Interesting thread. Actually last year on Horizon we had a deck party while docked in Hamilton and it went VERY late. They had the normal entertainment in the theatre as you would find on a Caribbean cruise.
