Drink Package Upgrade

We are going to be Sailing on HOTS.  The deluxe drink package is $1288 for 2 people if we purchase before sailing,  We currently bought the soda package.  Is it possible to upgrade to the Deluxe Beverage Package once on board and if so does anyone know 1.  the price (appx of course) 2.  if the amount we paid for the soda package would be credited towards the cost of the upgrade.

I'm sure you can on board but probable need to do it first thing. Some just cancel the one package and order the other right now. Your refund for the deluxe package will take about a weeks.

I tried to do this on a few cruises ago - I had the soda package and they said that package could not be upgraded to the deluxe drink package.  My brother seemed to be able to upgrade his refreshment package though, but I was told not the soda package.  Could be a case of two different crew with 2 different answers.  I just called it a lost expense and still upgraded to the deluxe drink package.

 

I'd probably go with the recommendation above to cancel the one you have now.
