Best way to get from KANGERLUSSUAQ, Greenland back to the US?

Highly appreciated if anyone could recommend the best route/flight/airline to be back in the US after you disembark KANGERLUSSUAQ, Greenland?

Air Greenland has non-stop service from SFJ to CPH four days a week.  Easy connections from there back the the USA.

 

And since you give no further information, such as date and cities....well.....

 

Plus, no definition of "best".

Thanks so much for your reply, GIGO.  We live in Denver, Colorado, so it's pretty easy to get any connection flight from major cities in the world.  We will disembark Kangerlussuaq in early July.

Check your Silversea itinerary. On our excursion cruise, which starts & ends in Kang., Silversea has included a charter flight to/from Reykjavik. That's also where their pre-cruise hotel is.

In our Silversea cruise last August there was alson an option to a charter flight to US.

Thanks so much for your reply, Alithecat & Lirio!  There were no details info on my Silversea that’s why I asked.  As of today, I haven’t yet got any info from my TA either.

Kangerlussuaq is not a typical commercial airport., and your cruise certainly includes a flight back to Reykjavik. 

 

I'd also note for anyone looking at cruises beyond 2023 that the Kangerlussuaq airport is scheduled to close in 2024, as part of its runway is sinking into the melting permafrost. The airport in Nuuk (Greenland's capital city)  is being expanded to be able to handle large planes and international traffic. I don't believe the exact date of the switchover has been announced yet, other than "mid 2024".

Am also going to assume you're really leaving for North America via KEF.

 

Last time we did it, the quickest and most reasonably priced way was KEF - SEA - DEN on Iceland and Alaska.
