Sailaway cabin question

I booked a sailaway cabin for a cruise in January. I just noticed that I now have a room assignment. Is this likely to change or once assigned, can I be fairly certain this final?

I am pretty happy with the cabin. I have the minimum bid on an upgrade but this may be in such a good location that an upgrade would be less favorable.

The room is yours.

I’m curious why the line would assign a guarantee cabin so early?  I’ve never booked that category cuz I just can’t give up control of my location on the ship, but….  Isn’t it in the ship’s best interest to wait until almost the last minute, so that preferred locations will be available for higher-paying customers to book?
