I have a question for anyone that has recently visited Nassau. We were in Nassau a few years ago and were suprised to find that the liquor stores had free samples of the different flavored rums. Is this still the case?

The straw market is mainly straw bags, jewelry and hand made items.

 

You'll find liguor stores dotted on every block on Bay Street and along the Wharf. Most give samples. On the wharf you'll find Ole Nassau Liguors, which serves quite a variety of local liguors, and on Bay Street most of the Duty Free Liquors have samples.

 

The Straw Market and Bay Street Shopping area is located downtown Nassau, just steps from the Cruise Ship terminal.
