Can you change who goes on an excursion?

We had initially booked for Person A and Person B to go on an excursion. However, B is no longer going with us, so Person C would like to go on the excursion with A. Is that something we can do or do we need to cancel and re-book under C's name?

Except... is person B still going on the cruise?

If they don't go on the cruise, I believe their excursion tickets will be automatically refunded. If they will be on the cruise but just would like to skip the excursion, then pp is correct; tickets can easily be transferred (as long as it's adult to adult, or child to child).

We've handed our excursion tickets to friends cruising with us in different staterooms, and I used a friend's mom's ticket for one once, when we've changed our minds on multiple cruises in various ports. I've never seen or heard of it being an issue since they really just check that you have a ticket and do a head count to make sure the number of people matches their list.
