Is it possible to upgrade an OV cabin to a JS on Royal Upgrade if the OV was comped from the casino? I guess no double C&A points on that possible upgrade?

Yes, I did this recently.  I just paid the difference.  Not sure about the points?

Yes, you can win the upgrade through Royal Up, even in a casino comp'd room. However, regardless of it being comp'd or paid for, you will get the points for the cabin type that you originally booked in, not where you ended up if upgraded through Royal Up.

Hope that helps.

The casino isn't RCCL, it's a separate subsidiary organization that buys your cabin as a discounted revenue fare, but it's still a revenue fare to the cruise/hotel portion of the ship.

So they work like non-comp rooms.

That has not been true for at least quite a few years, and has been in house with Royal Caribbean.

It does, thank you very much 🙂 Will try to upgrade directly by Club Royale when booking instead of going for Royal up.

Not sure if true.  Tried to get a shareholder benefit for a comped upcoming cruise and was nicely & friendly denied.😆
