rberns6171 Posted November 11, 2022 #1 Share Posted November 11, 2022 I have a casino related question. I play table games and usually cruise Royal, and when I play I am able to get cash at the table to charge to my account with my seapass card. Will I be able to do this on Carnival ? And if yes is there a fee attached to this and is there a way to get fee waived ? THANKS

On Carnival, if you're on a casino booking (Ultra, Elite, etc,) I believe they waive the charge. Not sure about other casino bookings. I can't recall my experience on Royal, but I know on Celebrity if you're staying in an upper tier suite there's no charge. Tom

angela12345 Posted November 11, 2022 #4 Share Posted November 11, 2022 (edited) It was definitely 3% pre-pandemic, pretty sure its still the same. If you charge it to your cabin/card/sign & sail account they charge the fee on tables, however the fee is not charged if you load the charge from your account into a slot machine. Do you play slots at all or tables only ? Load into slot machine, play a little bit, then cash out and the cash goes back to your players club account which you can then draw on at the tables. Players club account is not the same as your sign & sail account - - before the end of your trip, go to cashiers cage to cash out whatever balance remains in your player account. Hope this makes sense ? Yes, there are some ways to get the fee waived, the main one being to go on a invitation Getaway, Premier, Ultra, or Elite cruise. Also, if you use your credit card (Visa MC Amex) to get the cash, I think the fee is more (5.5%?), so definitely use the slot machine method or use your sign & sail card. Will you answer the same question for me RE: Royal ? We have a casino offer from them and have never sailed them before, so I was wondering the same thing ! : ) Edited November 11, 2022 by angela12345 add fee waived info
angela12345 Posted November 11, 2022 #5 Share Posted November 11, 2022 (edited) One other thing (since it won't let me edit the one anymore, wow that timing is way too short!!) ... if you do use slot machine method you have to play a little bit with the funds you load there, or the account can be locked for making further transfers. And of course, cash works !! You can buy chips with cash at the tables and of course there's no fee for that. pmms052999 Posted November 11, 2022 #6 Share Posted November 11, 2022 We just got off the Freedom a few days ago. I pulled funds from my S&S card and was charged 3% (pulled $150, got charged $4.50). Super easy!
