Has anyone used X insurance when you booked a free cruise?  I put in $0 for the cost of the cruise.  They said do not to include port charges.  Got a good price for the insurance.  We are 70+ and this sounded like a good thing.  Any comments?

You cannot buy Celebrity insurance with the BCC free cruise.  I paid for it and got a refund.  I bought from a 3rd party insurer.

I will call the # Celebrity gave me to purchase insurance from AON.

And yes, we did have to pay port charges for the free cruise.  But the site AON said do not include port charges when you put in what you paid for the cruise.  So I put in $0 for the cruise fare.

I was on the phone with X insurance for over one hour and no one could give me a definitive answer about their canceling the insurance after paid being that I put $0 in the cost.  So I went down to my local AAA office and got Allianze for a few more dollars with a lot more coverage (especially for medical evac).
