Are there ever discounts on shore excursion in cruise planner before a cruise?

I am more familiar with another cruise line that almost always has "sales" on shore excursions in the months leading up to a cruise.  I am just wondering if Princess ever has times where the cruise planner shows any discounted excursion prices?  Thanks for any info....

Sometimes the price is less when you buy on line before the cruise,  and you can use any shipboard credit you have to reserve them.

No discounts.
 

However, if you book and pay for your excursion early, you avoid price increases, which are not unusual. I’ve seen the price increase three times from when I booked until I boarded the ship.

I have also seen price increases when purchasing a shore excursion onboard.  There really is no advantage for waiting and lots of disadvantages such as selling out or price increase.  

 

At the same time, I have had excursions cancelled....days...before the port with nothing replacing and slim picking from what is left.

Elite members get 10% discount.  Does this discount apply to excursions book online before cruise starts?  Or only applies to excursions book after get on the ship?

It will also apply to excursions you book online before the cruise.
