Anybody use Project Expedition to book the Private Positano, Amalfi & Ravello Shore Excursion from Naples?

ProjectExcursion.com? Our travel agent recommended this tour group and we've booked it for May 21st. but wondering if anybody else has any experience with them.

Hmmmm....they appear to be a travel agency, which means we can't talk about them.

It also appears they are a broker. This usually means good prices, but issues on how to contact and deal with them when you have a problem. It means they take your money and contract with a local vendor.

It is commonly recommended here not to book with brokers, better to deal direct with a recommended local agent.

Ohhh, did not realize that. Hmm. We did book the one trip through them, now hoping it's not a problem,  but mostly because our travel agent recommended them and they will guarantee we don't miss the ship...and if we have issues, we could contact our travel agent. But this is good info to know. Thank you...will take into consideration for our other excursions.

You should also be asking how they can guarantee you won't miss the ship? Lots of vendors promise to get you to the next port, but never heard a tour vendor guarantee you won't miss the ship.

On that front as well, a private vendor would be ruined if they caused a passenger to miss their ship. They will do anything to prevent that. But stuff happens, even to cruise ship excursions.

Yep, the guarantee is actually they pay to get you to next port if needed. We can canel it up to 4 days before, so maybe we should cancel and re-book thru a tour company directly. THanks for the info

I highly recommend Italy Tour Sharing which is also known as Joe Banana Tours.  We've used them multiple times and they're fantastic.  If you go onto the Roll Call of your cruise and post for others to join you, the price is based on the number of people.  I try to keep our excursions at a max of 16, which is still a bit more than we like.  They have a great reputation and know how important it is to return to the ship on time.  I usually request to be back at least an hour before sail away.

They also will not let you book an excursion that might cause you to be too tight on your return.  Good Luck,
