Purchasing Next Cruise Onboard

Does NCL offer any perks to passengers who book a future cruise while on board?

We did this once on a Disney cruise and received 10% off the next cruise.

Thanks!

For inside thru balcony, they will upgrade within the same classification. So basically a better location. I don't know if they do the same with other classifications.

Sometimes there are additional perks, I did get an additional 10% a couple of times - which they also applied to my existing reservations. Not always well advertised, always pays to ask.

You can also buy Cruise Next certificates so get a discount on your deposit.  Certificates are worth $250, you pay $125-$150 and can use 1, sometimes 2 for a future cruise.

I did one time and immediately cancelled as soon as I got home. I learned that the staff on board are just sales people for Cruise Next. Not up to date on all current offers and cabins, etc.

I recommend sticking with the Cruise Next certificates and book at home.

Knowledge of onboard staff varies widely. I've had some that went out of their way to make every possible adjustment and fix issues my land- based pcc couldn't manage. Then others that made a royal mess of things. But for me the room upgrade can be an advantage.

I did learn that the pcc who booked your cruise will get the booking credit for anything booked onboard.  In my case, I ditched my old pcc  so really don't want him to get any credit. So I book anything new with my current pcc before I get onboard, then apply any onboard perks, so far so good doing it that way.
