cruise_co Posted December 16, 2022 #1 Share Posted December 16, 2022 We are taking the Southwest hop from Orlando to FLL in April the day before our cruise from Miami. We arrive long before check-in to any hotel. I have SAS booked to bring us from FLL to one of the Miami hotels. I currently am holding reservations at both the Intercontinental and the Hilton downtown. They both look about equidistant to the Royal Caribbean pier and we plan to Uber the morning of, so no shuttles needed. Even though I booked awhile ago so have sort of decent rates, the Intercontinental is still almost $200 more for the night than the Hilton. While I don't mind spending the money, is there that significant of a difference between the two hotels for one night? Locals - which is the better hotel to hang out in for the day before check-in? Diver2014 Posted December 19, 2022 #2 Share Posted December 19, 2022 Personally, I'd pay the extra money to stay at the Intercontinental for reasons too numerous to list.
