mrschrod Posted December 21, 2022 #1 Share Posted December 21, 2022 Hi all, I recently checked on Italian cruises in 2024, and was only seeing transcontinental cruises available. Does anyone know if Carnival is discontinuing those cruises or if they are on pause until the new ships are up? Thanks!

mrschrod Posted December 21, 2022 Author #3 Share Posted December 21, 2022 @CarnivalShips480 Yes! I wasn't sure if they were actually going to be doing Italian cruises on those ships or not
CarnivalShips480 Posted December 21, 2022 #4 Share Posted December 21, 2022 @mrschrodThe ships won't be doing cruises from Italy, rather they are Italian designed and there is a Italian theme. Carnival Venezia is to cruise from New York, which are up for booking. Carnival Firenze is to cruise from Long Beach in 2024.

OP, there's every indication that Carnival will be sending Legend to Europe for the 2024 sailing season. Those itineraries haven't been announced just yet but John Heald has strongly hinted that'll be the ship deployed. If you want an indication of what the summer might look like, take a look at Pride's schedule for this summer. It's a routing that has some Mediterranean, Northern Europe and a couple of interesting repos to get between Barcelona, Rome and Dover. Expect something very similar from Legend the following year. Announcements shortly I'd expect.
