UPNYGuy Posted December 23, 2022 #1 Share Posted December 23, 2022 (edited) Anybody on the 5 day Canada / NE sailing? DW and I are in the Terrazza area, and looking forward to experiencing this ship for a second time after the inaugural Bermuda run. LKlitsch Posted January 26, 2023 #2 Share Posted January 26, 2023 We are booked with friends. Excited about checking out this ship. We were originally booked on the Magic.
KevinAdMan Posted January 30, 2023 #3 Share Posted January 30, 2023 Can’t wait to sail on her to Canada. Was originally on the Magic but cruising Italian style reminds me of my first cruise
xbatt8 Posted February 3, 2023 #4 Share Posted February 3, 2023 Bob and Marty from Las Vegas. Can’t wait to check out this new (to Carnival) ship. We are sailing the Luminosa in June, and will sail the Firenze when she gets to Long Beach. Looking forward to trying all 3. Bob
tristatetravelguy Posted February 20, 2023 #5 Share Posted February 20, 2023 David & David from New Jersey. We just booked on this cruise -- we've done versions of the Canada/NE itinerary several times but this is our first cruise on Carnival.
cruizinisthebest Posted February 23, 2023 #6 Share Posted February 23, 2023 My family booked this one when it was the Magic. Looking forward to a totally different type of itinerary. Hoping to get some ideas for excursions. We are from NJ. Yayy alas no flying!
tristatetravelguy Posted March 1, 2023 #7 Share Posted March 1, 2023 Does anyone know whether there's a library on board? I saw somewhere that all Carnival ships have them, but the only one I saw online was the kids' one. Mainly looking for the possibility of a nice quiet space, rather than books. westview1900 Posted March 6, 2023 #8 Share Posted March 6, 2023 (edited) Hi Everyone, My dear wife and I booked this sailing and are looking forward to it. We've done variations of this sailing multiple times and always enjoy the Canadian Maritimes. We typically do this sailing in September, so that part will be different. We typically go to Peggy's Cove and Lunenburg from Halifax, and maybe St. Andrews or St. Martins, from St. John. Best regards, Bob and Caryn Edited March 6, 2023 by westview1900

pcavalcanto Posted May 29, 2023 #10 Share Posted May 29, 2023 Excited to see how the vessel is brought into the Carnival Family. Sailing with friends on this voyage. ddlid Posted May 29, 2023 #11 Share Posted May 29, 2023 My wife and I are from Miami and will be spending July and August between the NYC Metropolitan area and the Catskills. Just booked this cruise. Never been on cruise to Canada before. Anyone have suggestions regarding excursions for the days in Halifax and New Brunswick. Carnival's offers appear reasonably priced. In the past I have done better as far as quality and price with private tour, but you usually need more than 2 people to make it worthwhile. Look over in Ridgefield park Hampton Inn or Fairfield Inn. but for us it was just cheaper to pay to park at the pier as there is 7 of us Shuttle covered the first two in the room- and each person was 65. round trip

We've been to both St. John and Halifax about 5 or six times. What we do now, is rent cars and drive to places we have found that we like such as St. Martins or St. Andrews near St. John, and drive to Peggy's Cove, Mahone Bay, and Lunenburg. We walk from the ship to the rental car companies. If you choose to take excursions , I would suggest St. Martin and Peggy's Cove. If you rent a car, you should reserve it now, as the last time we were there, they were out of cars in both ports. If the ship is late getting into port, let the rental car companies know. I found out the hard way last time when we disembarked 2 hours late and our rental car was gone.
