Years ago, I believe that would add something like OBC of xxx amount to the booking (which is rare to none these days from NCL) and/or a 2+ sub-category upgrade, i.e. from BD to BB or BA balcony as the price difference can be worth it)

 

You really have to ask onboard to see what they are offering and book it thru them ...

It has been there for years, it's just and in-category upgrade eg good location balcony for the cost of a less desirable balcony.

Note it's in-category upgrade, you wont get an ocean view for the cost of an inside.

It changes based off the market you are sailing in and the cruise you're picking. It could be as little as an extra point to two per night... or as nice as a multiple in-category upgrade. For example, you'll pay for an IF and you'll be given an IA. I once saw them even add a few hundred dollars in OBC to the reservation based on cabin category booked.
