puppymama1 Posted January 10, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 10, 2023 About to book our tours for our October, 2023 Azamara Israel Intensive cruise... We want to do the Glorious Jerusalem tour one day and the Dead Sea/Masada tour the next day... We will be there on Sunday and Monday... and were planning to do the Jerusalem tour on Sunday, but were wondering if the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the Church of All Nations might be closed to visitors on those days because of church services... would it be better to do the Dead Sea/Masada tour on Sunday and the Jerusalem tour on Monday, or does it not matter? Thanks!
Markanddonna Posted January 10, 2023 #2 Share Posted January 10, 2023 I would do the Jerusalem tour on Monday. Churches often close for mass. The day of the week for the Dead Sea tour won't matter. Also, if you go on Sunday, you might be competing with lots of pilgrimage groups who reserve churches for mass. That can happen on any day, but Sunday would seem more likely. I'm not an expert, but I wonder how many local Christians go to mass in these churches? Since the number of Christians is quite small and the Messianic congregations have their own churches, I'm guessing there aren't many in attendance.
