alehness Posted January 13, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 13, 2023 Hi all, is it possible to do the Northern Europe 7-dayer from Southampton without a passport, as a UK citizen? Any other documents accepted? (finding the MSC website a little confusing) Have seen a couple of things about it being possible for sailings out of Miami but nothing about UK.. TIA! Rare elmsliebev Posted January 13, 2023 #2 Share Posted January 13, 2023 (edited) no, you need a passport. Even pre-Brexit I think you needed a passport as a UK citizen. You also need 3 months left on it after the day you leave. Some passports had extra months added when you renewed and they don't count any more. JoLoca2208 Posted January 13, 2023 #4 Share Posted January 13, 2023 I think the only time you could sail without passport is if it's a cruise around UK and only with UK ports of call.

No, we did one of those in 2021 when they restarted after covid and they still required a passport.
heatherb1958 Posted January 13, 2023 #6 Share Posted January 13, 2023 As Kernow confirmed passport always required cruising out of UK regardless of itinerary plus at least 6 months unexpired period is required . If you go onto the government website there is a calculator to help you work out if renewal is required.
